BaltimoreLink represents a complete overhaul and rebranding of MDOT MTA’s core transit system. Launched in June 2017, BaltimoreLink seeks to improve service quality and reliability, maximize access to high-frequency transit, strengthen connections between transit modes, and better connect with existing and emerging job centers.

Pulsar worked with MDOT MTA to gain community support, understanding, and awareness of the new BaltimoreLink system.

Results: Today, BaltimoreLink riders have access to a system that offers high-frequency transit and faster travel times with dedicated bus lanes and increased on-time performance. In reviewing online sentiment from before and after the BaltimoreLink launch, positive mentions regarding the system increased by 10 percent. Digital and social efforts secured nearly 9 million impressions, 60,000 clicks and 140,000 engagements.
